One of the simplest and easiest ways to add an extra dimension to your party design is through florals. I believe that for every event or party, flowers should be incorporated.

And honestly, it doesn’t need to be complicated. You can achieve chic looks all on your own and with little time invested, you just need to have a few basics and you’re good to go.

I found a beautiful bunch of peonies and some lovely tulips that I used to show how to achieve three different looks quickly and easily. The goal of this post is to provide simple inspiration for your next party; there isn’t any use of floral tape, foam or special design elements. Just simple arrangements that have impact.

Here’s the inspiration. Aren’t they lovely?!

I picked these up at my local Whole Foods for $25 (I know, right?).  You should always take a peek at the flower section when you’re grocery shopping, even if you are not purchasing anything. As well, keep in touch with your local florists. You’ll be able to spot a great deal and feel confident about your purchases when you have a basic understanding of availability and general price points. Sometimes you’ll splurge, but being cost effective will just make you feel good.

Look #1:

The first look is the easiest and most simplest; the all-in-one-vase look.

Use a favourite vase, cut your flowers to size and voila; an instant arrangement. Where you can add interest is through the type of vase you use or added decor elements. Here, I simply tied a beautiful ribbon around the vase and kept everything else neutral. The flowers take centre stage.

Look #2:

Breaking up the flowers into multiples is a favourite look and always works really great when you don’t have any other decor elements for your party or table setting. Use a variety of vases or vessels for the flowers and remember to work in odd numbers (3’s, 5’s etc.)

For this look, I used steel grey and glass vases to ground the look and make it more weighted, while creating height and dimension.

Look #3:

This is probably my favourite look as I added a touch of colour paired with white. White is a fresh, chic and versatile colour scheme and it compliments well with other hues.

Incorporating florals into your party design is easy and fun. Whether you bunch them all up together, or create multiple little looks, just the addition of flowers will elevate your party and add so much interest.
