This will be a quick little post as I’m having trouble focussing on anything else except designing my new home office. I’m overhauling the old and getting inspired by the new!
The trouble is, I’ve never really put a ton of effort into the design of my office space. It had received a variety of mis-matched items collected from various moves and homes that didn’t fit anywhere else so just ended up in the office space together. But, it wasn’t very inspiring.
So, after being inspired by this:
I decided to get moving and turn things up a notch.
This pic from decor8blog (a really fantastic design blog that inspires me so much), is of her office space and it really got my creative juices flowing. I absolutely love the use of the cream work space, centre table and chairs. The neutrality of the main pieces really allows for the other pops of colour to come out and it’s really pleasing to the eye. So, I’m pulling things together and trying to have a space that is as light, warm and inspiring as this one.
I’ll be posting all the before and after pics in the next week or so.
One last picture of what is inspiring me right now:
What about you? How do you design your work area? Send me a comment and let me know. Talk soon.
