So, it’s May.

And my planters outside look like this:

While pretty and great for winter, it’s atrocious that I let this go until Spring.  It’s practically summer and my front door still welcomes one and all with pine-cones and snow-dusted branches.

It’s looking like my weekend plans will include some gardening!

But how can you not be inspired by all of the fantastic blooms out there? It seems as if things really exploded lately, almost just like that. There is so much choice and variety that my only stumbling block will be my ability to actually commit to a look.

When I’m doing my planters, I need to remove everything first to get a look at the blank slate, and then the ideas start flowing. I wrote a post last year about how I created these winter planters, so I probably will refer back to that refresh my memory on the steps. You can check out that article here, if you want a few tips.  Who knows what the end result will be for my spring planter, but I really need to get moving on it.
