This weekend many will be joining together to observe Earth Hour on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. While I try to be aware daily of my impact on the environment and the Earth, taking a moment to turn off all the lights, computers, cell phones and just get back to basics really makes me focus on what other things I could be doing that in some small way makes a difference. I’m always thinking about how I can have a smaller footprint when doing events and parties because, unfortunately, just the nature of events causes some waste. I wrote a post on eco entertaining awhile ago, which you can check out from the link below to give you some ideas on how to reduce waste when planning a party.
So, this weekend, I have fewer links so that you don’t need to be spending a lot of time on-line. Enjoy the simplicity, even if just for an hour.
- I am really loving this store on Etsy right now: Wind & Willow
- I am so excited to try this recipe; it has some of my favourite things: Baby Spinach Frittata
- check out all the Earth Hour info here: Earth Hour
- find some tips on reducing waste for your party: Eco Entertaining
Thx for the Earth Hour Reminder and love the Eco Entertaining piece:)
Your welcome! It was interesting for me to think of ways to entertain as eco-friendly as you can. Glad you liked the post. Cheers.
Love that wind & willow link! How cute are those little dipped neon planters? I kinda want some… Happy weekend!
I know! Need to restrain myself from getting all the cool goodies there. Happy weekend to you too!
