I’m a tactile person. I like holding things in my hands.

I love the feel of a beautiful fabric, the weight of table decor, the smoothness of a table.

So, while I can spend an unreasonable amount of time looking at beautiful images on websites and blogs I still really love a good, traditional magazine. You?

I like to physically flip the pages, tear out images or ideas that inspire me, and have a visual constantly available, whether it be on a coffee table, desk or board.

I have been glued to the latest sources of inspiration for me, my new wedding and party magazines.

I love weddings, and they give me huge inspiration and ideas that I can implement in other events and consult with clients about. Thumbing through the pages not only forces me to take a break from the hammering of keyboard keys, but it also gets the creative juices flowing and sends my mind into overdrive.

I was oohing and aahing over so many images that I had to share some of them with you. (My current musings are Wedluxe, Elegant Wedding, Mingle and Grace Ormonde Wedding Style if you want to check out even more fabulous inspiration yourself.)

I love how deep, rich purple works so well with an earthy, rustic vibe. This palette has an opulent feel but with paired down florals it would still be elegant.

Ah, yes….pretty awesome. Okay, so the florals are absolutely amazing, but other touches like the patterned table linens, little macarons and the repetitiveness of the arrangements make this event design really stunning. Keep consistency with your theme and you’ll be able to achieve the same look.

Citrus colours are always wonderful to work with because they give such a fresh feeling and vibe to any event. We typically think of yellow, but this theme showcases a nod to lime and sage and it’s wonderfully paired with cream. I’m also diggin’ the clear elements of this palette with the crystal glasses and charger plates.

Okay, so I love, love, love purple and green hues together and these arrangements make me want to be at this party! It’s over the top and decadent, but so fun to look at.

Love this idea and it translates well with any event. Candid, on-the-spot, instant photography can add a current, real-time feeling to a party. Take pictures and pin them up and choose to pepper the display with other images as well and you’ve got one interesting feature wall.

I’m a sucker for repetitiveness and consistency (have you noticed that yet?) and this table speaks to me in so many ways. The bunched florals, super long, black table…well, I just love it. Plus the projection draping at the end draws the eye to it so it becomes a perfect landing spot for an important brand message or curated image.

Yes, sequins make everything just awesome. Sequin table linens are really hot right now and I think pairing with a ghost chair is the right choice. It allows for the linens and florals to take centre stage.

A.Maz.Ing! Love this aisle with burst of colour focal point.

Seriously? I’ve seen a ton of ruffled layer cakes but I can feel the labour put into this one, see every distinct fold and appreciate the gradient colour transition. Having a statement cake can be a great way to add a focal point to an event.

Oh, I just love this floral cascade for a chair. It’s unexpected and that’s what’s interesting about it. You could also use branches and vines for a more earthy, understated look. Also, pairing down florals on the table could accent the cascade.

Taking care with little moments helps to drive a theme home and create added touches. The intricate detail of the votive holder for the plant is lovely and gives more detail.

Aren’t you inspired yet? There is so, so much more inside that you have to check them out. Or find your own magazine inspiration and do a little luxurious procrastination, I mean, inspiration research! Have fun.
